About David

David began working as a journalist in 2010. For the past three years he has published over 1,000 words daily in his role as a full-time Overnight Daily Briefings Editor for Isentia, Australia's premier media monitoring company.

In 2024, he interned at Channel 9, ABC Radio Melbourne, Hyperlocal News, and Prime Creative Media. He has since received casual work at the ABC and continues to work freelance for Hyperlocal.

David's passion as a journalist is hard news. His reporting covers federal, state and local government politics, the national energy market, critical minerals, the health and research sectors, industrial relations, the Murray Darling Basin, agriculture, mining, Indigenous governance, cyber security, and the media industry. His long-term goal is to report internationally.

David's great-grandfather was editor of The Baccus Marsh Express newspaper until 1939 when he joined the RAAF.
